Eureka!

I've come up with a better idea for this project and I think I'll work much better than the mobile I made myself. I have a standard fan which I have decided I could adapt to make and moving mobile of sorts. It's one of those type of fans with a concentric circle cage, I can reverse the front half of the cage and strap it back to the propeller head itself and then I can tie elastic/string with LED lights from different parts of the cage. I can then remove the fan head from it's stand and perhaps hang it down forwards on elastic so its facing the floor with the lights hanging down.

Here are a few photo's of the actual fan:-

As you can see from the pictures I used cable ties to strap the cage back to the fan, not ideal in an aesthetic way but for this it's fine. Again it's not much to look at but I wanted to produce some still photographic light images to demonstrate the results, and in my mind it's about the results.

I did a few test photographs and they came out really well just with two lights. I'm not going to post them on this blog now as I want to pick out the best ones to print out when the unit is fully functional.
